Does this work for existing subscribers?
I jumped in and decided to try it even though I use it already, and yes, it does work for existing subscribers. It gave me an option when I set it up if I want this one to “replace” my old printer, thus not getting a free trial, or if I want to add it as “an additional” printer and get the free trial, but I would be getting charged for both after the trial period ended (if I didn’t cancel).
This was an excellent deal for me. I print a lot these days and I use a lot of color. For HP subscriptions, a full page of ink is the same as a page with one word on it. I’ve been subscribed and have been paying about $25 each month for the pages I printed (hundreds of pages), and now I just set this up near my old printer and plan to use it for the next 9 months for free. (I downgraded my old printer to the $1 a month plan, because I want to have the option of using it again after the 9 months are up, and also to have it as a backup in case this one is not working at any time.)
As I’m gotten used to saying over the last few years, Thank Dan! (Yes I know it’s JJ, but the minhag here is to say Thanks Dan anyways. Yes, JJ is chopped liver. But I LOVE chopped liver)
You do know that Dan and JJ are actual human beings, right? I don’t understand the big deal of addressing a question or comment to the actual person who has their name posted, whether it be Dan, JJ, or Mimi.
Anyone know if I downgrade to the .99 plan on the 10th month does the rollover amount from the previous 3 months 700 sheets plan continue to rollover and this can be used even though my new plan technically only has 10 sheets or does the rollover amount depend on my current subscription level?
The rollover is dependent on the changed sub amount
The ink will absolutely bankrupt you on this kind of printer, so this is a good deal
Is there any restriction when the trial needs to be activated or I can activate it in 9 months (already got 1)
@Joe it needs to be activated within 7 days of setting up printer
and @S i think theres a 150 page limit for rollover
i was just wondering if it set me up with the 50 pages a month trial 2 weeks ago if theres a way to up free trial to 700 pages??
Does this need a constant WiFi network at home for the ink replenishment or is a smartphone enough?
Just set mine up last week and the 9 month trial only showed as 2 months free. Called HP support last night (didn’t get anywhere with online assitance). They asked me for a picture of the flyer or box where it says 9 month free trial. Once emailed, they promised to add 7 months, which actually posted today. This must be done within 7 days of setting up so make sure to check that your account shows 9 months after setting up.
Also available when signing up, is 1 month free of paper (1500 sheets for 700 plan). It must be canceled before the next month in order to avoid charges.
