Restaurant.com also now has coupons for Asia restaurant in Boca Raton, Florida. Asia is a fleishig restaurant under ORB supervision.

The Asia Sushi Wok & Grill website lists, shrimp and crab on the menu. It is closed on Shabbos so that is a good sign, but it didn’t say anything about mock crab. can you confirm that it is really kosher?

hibatchi steakhouse was awlful! tasteless(!), cheap steaks and greasy food – even after a $50 discount coupon i still felt the food is not worth the -discounted- price.
although, the chefs cooking in front of you was pretty interesting, but still a definite no-go

Chicago is actually $.80 per coupon as its 80% off of $3.

Burtolucci’s is now under new ownership and does not taking the certificates any more. I came in and they told me they don’t take it anymore.

Um…So the fact that Asia is certified by the ORB, one of the two leading hashgachos in the state of Florida, isn’t proof that it’s kosher enough for you? You must be from Brooklyn.

how do these work? i just give them the coupon before/after i have my meal and pay the difference?!?

I bought a Levana coupon and they say they are ‘closed for remodeling’ but I fear that they are really closing down. Can I exchange that certificate? How?

Mr SA, If he’s from Brooklyn how’s he supposed to know that it’s a good hashgacha?! BTW there’s nothing wrong with being too careful, there have been plenty of stories… unless you just don’t know the hock because you’re from out-of-town..

forget Bertoluccis. I was there Tuesday eve and Tammy, the manager, said its under new ownership and they don’t accept the voucher. First she said they dont accept it during the nine days. she didnt seem to know how to get out of it. Then she said they are trying to make a new deal with Restaurant.com. Then she offered me $10 off the total bill. I was very disappointed.

Does one buy the individual Restaurant’s certificate or just the general Restaurant.com certificates ?

Individual restaurant.

In the interim I contacted Restaurant.com.
According to them one can buy either the individual restaurants certificate or the Restaurant.com certificate and then later exchange it for an individual restaurant certificate.
If so, the advantage of buying the Restaurant.com certificates would be that you can buy many of the 80% discount coupons now and decide later where you would like to use them. Additionally, it seems that Orchidia is out of stock, so one may buy general coupons and then apply them later.
The only disadvantage to this approach that I see is the reverse, that when you go to exchange the general coupon for a specific restaurant it may then be out of stock.

Yes, you can buy a generic cert today at 80% off and switch it in when the cert you wants goes back in stock.

For BSW: I had also bought a Levana’s certificate and then heard that they closed down. I e-mailed restaurant.com and they sent me a code which was good for the purchase of another certificate instead.

I purchased a certificate for Glatt a La Carte and haven’t used it yet, but I just noticed that they are also no longer listed with restaurant.com. Does anyone know if Glatt a La Carte still accepts the coupons?

we tried hibachi steakhouse and it was entertaining and tasty! also, we had a 50 off 100 coupon, and they let us include tip and tax in the total (despite written otherwise on the coupon). definitely worth the fun and price.

I used the 50 off 100 at hibatchi and was very happy. great food and very intertaining. the bil for food was 103 and after the coupon i ended up having to dish out 75 dollars bec of tax and tip.

i went to burtiluccis last night and was very dissapointed when they didnt except it

Are you sure that this is the asia restaruant that is under the orb? B/c not only does it not say anything about MOCK shrimp it also has sushi with creamcheese (this is a steakhouse also)

It is certified kosher under the ORB.
Here is an article from 2 weeks ago that talks about it being kosher certified under the ORB with the same address as the Asia restaurant listed above:

Also in the restaurant.com listing above they say they are ORB certified.

Most of their traif sounding stuff is obviously mock versions.

I never saw a coupon for Levana. It used to be my favorite restaurant when it was milchig. then it changed to fleishig, and it wasnt as good. now they are closed?

I bought a whole bunch of $25 “gift certificates” to wolf and lamb, only to realize after that each one is $25 off of two entrees! It’ll still cost a fortune to eat there.

Etc. Steakouse is very good!City caliber food. Service had to be worked on, but all around a good solid meat place in teaneck, Who would have thought?

You can only get a $25 coupon now and they can’t be combined.

Just to let everyone know Gio Caffe in Brooklyn is also no longer accepting coupons from restaurant.com they were nice and gave me 5 bucks off my lunch bill anyways though

I called Glatt a la Carte to find out if they’re still accepting coupons, and they said no. They said they’ll take 10% off my bill to accomodate.

Whenever a restaurant won’t take a coupon just call restaurant.com for a replacement.

hibachi grill was delicious and great service!

dougies on 18th avenue in BP….they accept the coupon as $25 off $50 + tax and tip…CASH ONLY! the food wasnt that good to warrant the nastiness of the owneress sitting at the till when we gave her the coupon!

I’ve used the $25 coupon at dougies without issue and with a credit card, sounds like you just got a bad waitress.

it wasnt the waitress…it was the owner/woman.
I have used the coupon in the past with the man/owner..and no problem! she was real nasty.

I had the same problem last night at Dougies 18th avenue. though in the past when the man owner was at the cash register he did take my cc and actually said thank you.

After just ordering certificates for Dougies, I called Dougies and they said that they are not accepting them AT ALL anymore, and have told the website to take them off.
