Placed order for pickup. Almost immediately got an order cancellation email
No pickup options were available in Brooklyn, but I do have Silver status with Lowe’s, so shipping was free.
So far, almost 2 hours after ordering one, no cancelation email.
Website now says that this item is no longer sold by Lowe’s.

I was in Lowe’s tonight right before closing to purchase tiles for a bathroom I’m remodeling for a client. The entire shelf inventory of the very tile that I came for was being discarded by an employee. The reason: the display was a mess and some tiles became chipped or broken. Apparently, Lowe’s felt it’s more cost effective to throw out about 200 tiles (okay, it’s their 15 cent tiles) and just put out new boxes of tiles.
Maybe this $9 deal is just another way for them to quickly get rid of inventory.
