Update 2: (Yes, the deal is still dead) Just over a month after I ordered my 4 year subscription I got my first issue! I checked online and it says that I’m paid through November, 2013!
I also activated the ESPN insider feature which is free as long as you are a subscriber. You must give them a credit card to activate the insider subscription and they say they will charge you $30 if your subscription lapses and you don’t cancel insider…somewhat dirty tactics in my book, so I simply used a virtual card number on my Citi AA account and set a $1 limit with a 01/10 expiration…that ought to stop them from auto-renewing it without my permission in 2013!

Update: DEAD!
Yes folks, you’re reading that price right, it’s just 3 cents an issue! If you’re a sports fan then what are you waiting for???
You will also get free access to ESPN’s paid insider section of their website for the duration of your subscription! (You can signup after you get your first issue.)
Use the following coupon code to make the price just $3.44 for a 4 year subscription (Just use the drop-down menu to pull up the 4 year option): MPSESPN
This will work for new subscriptions or for renewals which will just extend your current subscription by 4 years. You can always change the address on a subscription.
“Please allow an industry Subscription average of three to twelve weeks for delivery of the first issue of your subscription.”

Just ordered one, thanks man! Does this come with spam and junk though, from the promo website? Thanks!
Wow!!
I tried placing the order and it says “transaction cannot be processed”, I tried with a SPG Amex card, Chase visa, and AA mastercard and it won’t let me purchase this.
@DOVID:
It worked on my Starwood AMEX.
Maybe try using Paypal?
I just ordered with my AAdvantage AMX with no problem.
Thanks! It worked with Paypal!
I was able to order via Paypal. However, it didn’t give the option for a 4 year subscription – only for 1 year.
Mine went thru now with my SPG Amex card, Thanx Dan.
@ESPN:
Methinks that you need to learn how to use drop-down menus 🙂
Didn’t take my first credit card either, the second one worked.
Thanks Dan, it is worth it just for the insider.
@Mike:
Agreed, those articles are always the best. At $3.44 for 4 years this is a no-brainer!

@yaakov:

I’m still waiting on my issues. Maybe I’ll get them today.
Dan: how do and when should i cancel insider
I didn’t get it is it dead now?
@dan Whats a virtual card number?
@aaron:
Yes.
@hyshai:
Login to your Citi account and you can make a one-time use virtual card number with a credit limit and expiration date that you set.
I cant create a virtual card # with my citi business aa card, any other idea how to go about it?
Thanks for this deal got my first issue last week.
I ordered and just received first issue – but it looks like only a one-year subscription, at least from what the Insider Access says. Any ideas?
@joe:
Go to the account manager and check again.
