Opted for in store pickup at Herald Sq and the Riley wardrobe spinner – and when I went to pick it up – the woman at the desk is like – WOW you sure got a good price. (Yep, it’s $1,049 on Briggs, Bloomingdales, and Saks website)
How do these people have the chutzpah to list something like that for 1k, probably costs them $5 to make, i Mamish dont get it.
It doesn’t cost $5. Everything from the nylon to the zippers to the wheels are better quality, and they guarantee the product for life …. So yes, $1k is a lot but their are the premier brand, possibly only second to Rimowa, and that’s how luxury branding works.

Second that. Just got a shipping notice for my Samsonite. Fingers crossed for Tumi and Briggs.
So I spoke to a friend who is a supervisor in the IT department in Macy’s. It was a coding error by a junior IT hire. He is being dealt with as they sort out the mess. Accounting is determining if the losses suffered can be honored or needs to be canceled. As of now, the way the numbers are looking have them leaning towards honoring the mistake but only for those that did not order multiples of each item. If an order has 2+ for sure it will be canceled. 🙂
