The first time I tried doing it somehow the promo code was put in twice (I didn’t enter it twice but it just showed up twice) so it said something was wrong with my order. So I resubmitted it and then my order was canceled. I tried ordering again with different email / info so we’ll see if that works

I did get one earlier but just tried again out of curiosity and coffee the message the code is not valid. Will have to see if the price is honored or order cancelled.
Confirmation email took nearly an hour. I called support just before that since I noticed that my card had already been charged. Supervisor validated over the phone that my order was confirmed and approved and was given a ticket number to call back if there was any issue with fulfillment. It’s been an hour and a half since I received the email; no cancelation yet; I will be calling back if I receive one.

If you paid and received nothing, you get a refund via Shark or your CC regardless.
I hear what you’re saying. That said, I’ve never had an online order confirmation email take longer than 1/2 an hour and Shark’s order tracking site did not recognize the order number given to me at checkout either.
Automated systems can glitch, and that sometimes requires manual intervention; I’ve personally had the experience of needing to reach out to a retailer and/or my card issuer to ensure reimbursement/fulfillment of an order.
It was a judgment call to be sure, but one I tried to make thoughtfully. ♂️
You can always call the next day. There is no benefit for a manual intervention within a couple of hours. Also, there is a huge chance you will get a credit without any calling. You can also dispute it within 60 days.

They’re saying the code was invalid, while the orders all went thru and were confirmed.
It feels like they’re just saying that so they don’t lose so much.
You win some and you lose some folks. Not every deal is going to be honored.

Same here… confirm email took a while to come on 1/4, then on 1/5 I got the email saying it’s canceled bc of invalid promo but tonight 1/7 I got an email saying shipping is taking longer than expected but working on it… I checked the order status and it just says pending shipping, not canceled. And the charge is still pending on my cc. I guess I will wait and see, but I didn’t think it would actually go through

I guess even if the promo appears valid, and even seems to work, companies still get the final say on honoring the promo..
Although legally you do enter into a contract with them when placing an order , I am sure their lawyers can produce some kind of legalese to get them out of it and the customer can’t (or won’t) really fight it…
And they know that…which is they do these kind of arbitrary decisions…
