Doesn’t say what generation i7 or any other details know processor.
Just bought it. Your total is before tax..
Do you know the return policy??
Where do I go to buy this? I can never open any of your links. I use different browsers and try everything I can think of? The links are always bad for me? What am I doing wrong?
@Netzih:
Off a Google Search it seems like it’s a 3630QM.
@zelig:
Everything you buy is before tax.
Do you also let the waiter know that their prices on their menu don’t include tax or tip?
Or go around Best Buy adding plus tax to every item on the shelf
😉
@Ezriel:
14 days of the date of receipt.
@Justin:
You either have an ad-blocker or internet filter enabled.
@Netzih: 4th
@Justin: Which linkare you clicking on? Don’t click on the title
Just for the record, this laptop’s processor is a 3rd generation Ivy Bridge, not the 4th generation Haswell.
Also great delas on i5 and i3!
Anything with windows 7??
Can I return it in store??
any1 know wen the 100 off code expires
just purchased it and filled out both rebate forms and they were both accepted for now.
top notch laptop as far as performance goes. wish it would have been 17″ but satisfied.
thanks dan
orders for the 299 and 399 dell deal will be put on hold
Problem with this system is the screen resolution. 1366×768 on a 15.6 screen is pretty bad. Everything else on it seems great
!
@yitz:
Coupon Exp. feb. 15 which is tonight
@Anonymous:
Coupon terms says it only valid for laptops priced 499 (before rebates) or more!
@SamKey:
its 3rd not 4th
When adding coupon, it says it has already been redeemed.
Anyone else having this problem?
On a mobile phone added two put in discount code calculated removed one and then checked out it left the discount for two. Total price includes tax before rebate 455 awesome!!
@Efi: was trying to do the same trick above to see if I can get a free one with 5 machine but coupon expires at 12 am
Expired at 12am was trying to do the same trick above to see if I can get a free I one by ordering 5 machines but it expired
Coupon expired
@Efi:
let us know if it will ship at that price!
Did u already got email confirmation?
It will most likely be adjusted or canceled
@David:
also battery life is short and not user replaceable
I have still not received my email confirmation, will it be difficult to get them to honor it?
@A: I called Staples. The orders didn’t process but they did honor the order this morning without the “double coupon code” 🙁 but still a great deal picked up three.
Just called them, confirmed order no sweat
@Bites: what was the big deal? why wouldnt they confirm for u…
placed 2 orders on staples.com
1 order had junk on it, received email confirmation
2nd order had dell i5 laptop w/$100 coupon, never rec’d email confirmation. called today 5pm EST, lady said sold out, she could not explain why I did not get a confirmation. said hold times for a supervisor are in excess of 2 hours and she will fill out a form for someone to call me back in 3 days. She said its a known issue last night they had over 1000 people ordering laptops with no inventory and she was not sure why I never got the confirmation email. In the end she said order will not process
@Anonymous:
Read comment by “and”…:)
Yep, they are not honoring the orders. This really annoys me because I would have picked up the laptop in the store today (without the $100 off it is still a good price) had I known they had cancelled my order.
this is NOT a good deal. i paid about $100 more with some hock for a similar system with an excellent video card.
this has intel hd graphics, which is not even middle ground, but absolute bottom-of-the-barrel garbage.
if you do anything that demands the computing power this system offers, you will be failed by the vid specs.
and if you dont, then you dont need this high-end piece of equipment anyways.
my wife does:
work
email
video downloading
“”””” watching
internet browsing (with as many as 20 tabs open at once across multiple browsers)
doc editing
photo scanning
photo editing
and more
running a 5+ year old laptop, dual core 2.6 ghz with 8gb of ram and windows 7.
so why do you want this again?
it is shiny though.
They will not honor the Dell touchscreen i3 for $299. They say it is out of stock, which is rediculous because it was in stock Sunday morning so how come they won’t honor an order from Saturday night? I think what happened is that the sale on that laptop was not supposed to start until Sunday but someon mistakenly started it Saturday, which is why they are not honoring them.
I’m being told they won’t order my Toshiba i7 order as well. Received an order # but no confirmation email. Completely unacceptable.
Ordered it on Saturday & got confirmation only to receive email now saying that item is not in stock & they are not offering substitutes or backorders while I see that item is still available online. anybody else have this issue?
I’m getting an error when trying to add $100 coupon #15943
Sorry, but an error has been made.
Please check the following field(s):
*Coupon code
Invalid coupon.
I got the same email saying that my order was cancelled. I am not happy about it.
just was told by a Staples rep via chat that $100 coupon #15943 …
My apologies the coupon expired on 2/15/14.
@Jason Smith:
Coupon terms said VALID ONLY for laptops priced $499 or more, So ur laptop didn’t qualify
@Staplessucks:
sometimes it will show out of stock only when trying to ADD TO CART its based on ur location so sign in to ur account and if u could still add to ur cart
@ARein: coupon expired was only valid on Feb. 15
So if this was a ‘mistake’ why do airlines like Delta have to honor their mistake fares but Staples doesn’t have to honor their mistake orders?
Ordered Toshiba I7 Saturday night. Got confirmation and submitted rebate. Got no email. Got a phone call today that it was out of stock and was being cancelled but as he was talking he noticed all the savings/ coupons and said he would leave it intact. I called them and was told tough luck by a rep and a supervisor. They claim a confirmation is not a sale. If anyone has any ideas how to put pressure/ negative publicity on Staples count me in.
Count me in as well. This was there DM reply on Twitter: “Our website doesn’t offer “real time” inventory. Regrettably the item # 49556 is completely sold out and was while supplies last.”
@A
The original price of the laptop was $599 on sale for $399 it definitely qualified – in fact, it was one of the models that Dan mentioned.
I bought this deal on line Saturday night. I got an email Monday morning that they were out of stock and didn’t have anymore, and asking if I want to put it on back order with no guarantee of the price being the same. I called around to my local staples stores and got one on Flatbush Avenue and Tilden for the discounted sale price, even though the price came up higher when she scanned the laptop.. I had printed out my on line order and showed it to the sales manager, and found the discount price in the Staples flyer while standing around waiting for her to get the OK from ‘headquarters’!
@Jason Smith:
the fact that dan mentioned it doesn’t change the terms…
Dan may have not seen the terms of this offer as this was HT to ddf member
received email frmo staples today saying that the ‘while supplies last’ item i purchased is not in stock anymore. bummer
I went to the Staples website and it was ‘Out of Stock’ and unorderable.
So I stopped in the local Staples in Fort Lee, NJ and they had it on display (I have had good luck and discounts on Display Models in the past), but the Salesperson told me the $100 coupon code was for the Web only.
Then he offered to order it ‘on the web’ with the coupon via the In-Store Kiosk. The $100 coupon didn’t work. He called over the manager and told him and the Manager entered a code to take off $100!
As it was President’s Day Sale weekend, I was able to purchase their ‘anything happens, we fix or replace it’ insurance for 50% off. Two years insurance!
I’ve been looking for an i7 with decent speed and more than 8GB memory. This one is upgradeable from 12GB to 16GB for $230 and comes with a monster 1TB internal Hard Drive, Harmon Kardon Music stereo, a RW DVD drive and it’s only 5 pounds!!
Thank you Dan!!!!!
any similar deals like this one??!?!?!?!
