It was in my cart. But when i submitted the order it didn’t go through. Called twice and the lady ordered an “under review order” for me. Hopefully it will go through.

Firstly, everybody relax… No email conf just means their systems are back logged prob…

Secondly it’s not the phone calls that kills any deals it’s the company’s realization that these are mistakes and deciding not to go bankrupt because of a group of ppl trying to take advantage of errors!!

Interesting. Personally, I like the protections purchasing on a credit card offers, but to each their own. (I certainly don’t do it for the points, legitimately earned points are such an incredibly minute drop in the bucket for me that I always think about consumer protections first with items that might need it.)

Mo makes a good point. Possibly a plug for a frum Staples supplier? Either way I’m in for one. Last month Staples had a i3-5 Toshiba in store for $199. Curiously no mention on DD. Was pretty big on SD though. Those were an easy eBay flip.

Finally received an email from Staples for my order of one Dell Vostro 14″ laptops that i placed yesterday shortly after Dan’s post.

I placed the order the second it was on dansdeals, i just got an email from staples sayong out of stock, the whole thing was bs..

I placed an order for a Dell laptop on Sunday morning 1/31. Only after 24 hours did I receive an email stating that the item is out of stock. I am a very frequent customer of Staples and I was a happy customer until now. If I place an order for an item that is available on the website I expect that item to be shipped to me or something comparable if that item is no longer available. I don’t see how I can continue to shop from the Staples website if this is how you operate. Please let me know what you can do for me. Thank You, A former happy customer

Ordered the 15″ Sunday morning. Order status still lists as processing, but chat representative claims the order has been cancelled on their end.

After emailing staples a few times, I did get an email that the computers were back in stock…? I called and they took my order… Thanks Dan!

I have chatted with them and called them and they insist they no longer have the item and that they will not have the item back in stock again. What did you guys do to get them to tell you otherwise?

I actually called customer service after getting the “out of stock” email and showed them how it is back in stock and they honored the price. They changed my order order number from a “draft order” to an actual order. Just waiting to get a tracking number.
