Does chase offer purchase protection like amex in which case I’d put the purchase on my freedom card to get the 5% bonus. Or they dont and then I’d put it on my amex. Please advise Dan.
It does give extended warranty protection, but AMEX coverage is better….
Dan – I purchased a laptop on my amex, then the screen broke. In the interim I cancelled my amex card, so when I made a claim they denied it because the card isn’t active. Shouldn’t it be covered since I purchased the laptop on the card? or once you cancel the card, everything goes? TIA
@qtb4me:
As long as you have another active AMEX card then you should be covered.
Call back.
Are you after the manufacturer’s warranty and within the extra year of AMEX coverage?
How much better? Which card would you suggest I put it on? (Assuming I won’t spend the full 1500 on the freedom)
Is there any reason to purchase the extended warranty if I am using an amex card to purchase?
@DansDeals – Do you anticipate any deals on Windows 7 Laptops (preferably Dell but any brand)?
@Dan – Thanks for your reply. It was after the manufacturers warrantee, and within the extra year of AMEX coverage. I do have another AMEX card active. They told me to submit the claim online, which I did, then they sent me a rejection email because the card I used to purchase the laptop is no longer active. I should call them directly and explain that it should be covered since I have another active AMEX?
@qtb4me:
Yes.
Hi Dan. I ordered one of these. The price on Amazon was far better than any other e-tailer. Thanks for the link!
