Just a word of warning: 27″ at 1080p looks kinda pixelated.

1080p is Full HD, why would it be pixelated?

because of how it’s being used, for a TV even 70″ is good at 1080p but if you wanna read smallish text less than 2 feet from the screen you’ll want something with slightly higher resolution (2560×1440 will look better).
1080p just refers to horizontal pixels it doesn’t really guarantee text clarity. We made the mistake of buying a bunch of 28″ 1080p monitors at work and we ended up exchanging ’em for higher resolution. (we found that anything above 24″ really needed higher resolution.
I use 3×27″ 1080p monitors. No such issue for me.
Just bought these on Newegg on blackfriday sale – these are not the best, but probably the cheapest you’ll find at 27″
