it costs alittle more but I found this to be GREAT Bracketron-ufm300bx
its a carrying case my Gar 1350 fits in it and it doesnt move on the dash! when not in use I zip it up and leave in on the floor and no one can tell theres a GPS in the car
it is heavy due to the sand -bag in it and yes I now remove it from my carry-on along with my LT since TSA always seems to want to see what it is that is coming up on the xray machine
ordered this gps holder and it is worthless. not sure what kind of case or sandbag you are talking about. mine is just a cheap plastic thing that is quite inferior to the one that came with my garmin.
