I bought a computer a couple weeks ago. Dell says delivery date is dec 28. They had put a hold on my Amex, but released it. I guess they will charge when they ship. Wondering if they ship at end of year, and the charge posts after Jan 1, do I lose out on this year’s $200?

Same thing happened to me for the 2021 year. Ordered on the 15th, but, the order didn’t ship till Jan 30th. Called amex and they had to physically give me the credit.
So, yes you can get it, just have to “prove” that the delay was from Dell and not you.
Amex saw the transaction that showed the hold on the card for my purchase and based off of that, gave me the credit.
Xbox GCs no longer work (for me). Dell rep told me they are no longer selling them (cannot really trust a Dell rep).

Yes they keep cancelling them.
Use an employee card (new number), ‘new’ email, and a different billing address. The only thing that needs to be the same is the zip code. Make sure to clear all cookes. Also use a VPN to change your IP address.

Does it help to pay for expedited shipping to make sure it goes through before year-end? I know what matters is when it SHIPS, not the delivery date. Does expedited shipping make it ship sooner, or just arrive sooner?
Also, I can only see DELIVERY dates for each item, not ship dates. My item says delivery date of Jan. 3 with express shipping, which I assume would mean it would ship before the New Year (since Jan. 1 and Jan. 2 are not business days). I spoke with Dell this morning and asked why my Bose earbuds kept getting canceled, they told me that it was Bose that was doing the cancelation and not Dell. They explained that even though it shows on the Dell website Bose is back ordered and don’t have a production or ship date. She was very helpful and replaced the order with the smoke white ones (they were $20 more) so now I have a confirmation and they should be delivered before Jan 1.
