Why do you need AMEX’s warranty when you have the companies themselves, how much better could it be?

AMEX’s warranty is light-years better than the the manufacturers.
AMEX will often just give you a full refund of the item if you have a problem with it during the bonus warranty year.
How do I go about… have a HTC phone that’s broken its a little past the one year warranty from HTC. Always buy everything on my amex. Do they cover phones
