Dell Discontinuing Sales Of Most 3rd Party Accessories, Including Bose Headphones And Earbuds

I’ve been buying accessories from Dell ever since the AMEX Business Platinum card added a credit for Dell purchases.

AMEX Business Platinum cardholders can register here for $200 cash back on up to $200 of purchases at Dell.com every January-June and $200 cash back every July-December.

Bose headphones, Xerox laser printer and toner, Logitech MX Mice and keyboards, etc.

When a reader tipped us off that Dell stopped selling all Bose headphones and earbuds, we reached out to Dell to learn if this was a temporary or permanent change.

Sadly, Dell confirmed it was the latter,

“Over the past three years, we invested extensively in building our Client Peripherals. As a result, throughout the summer we discontinued a number of third-party peripherals sold on Dell.com. We will continue to sell third-party products in complementary categories that align closely to our business.”

Dell did note that they would continue to sell Bose portable speakers and soundbars.

But, no more Bose headphones. No more Logitech MX Mice and keyboards. Many other accessories are gone as well.

Ouch.

It sounds like Dell may still discontinue other accessories that are still in stock, so if you see something, you may want to buy it now. Don’t forget that you can stack the $200 credit with up to 3 cards and together with the 10% off AMEX Offer.

Then again, the current Dell credit may be the last one, so maybe it doesn’t matter that much anyway…
