Hey, I read all your posts and followed a lot of your advice.
I opened up a few citi aa advantage credit cards and later called to consolidate 2 of them, instead of closing one, per your advice.
When I now check my credit report, eventhough I have an excellent credit score, with regards to that account it says “Credit line closed-consumer request-reported by subscriber†which makes it seem like I closed the card.
Does that make sense to you?
Or to anyone else reading this?
Thanks
I bought the haier picture frames from buy.com. I even paid for shipping because I needed them by a certain date. today is the fourth day (they say it will be out by the second or third) and it still shows ‘processing’ on my order. calling customer service is no help..because its a woman working from home who has no access to anything but email!
I am disappointed.
ps. the buy.com customer service number to nothing (though, it is nowhere on their site) is 1-800-800-0800.
@Shmuly: It does make sense. You’ve consolidated two accounts into one effectively closing other. The fact that it says on your credit report “Account closed – Consumer Request” is not a bad thing. It would have been much worse if it said: “Account closed – Credit Grantor Request”. What really matters is the fact that your credit limit stayed the same.
Hope this helped.
Chaim.
Did indeed, thank you
