Dan, I believe that the ratio given by Microsoft is to have the same memory on the ReadyBoost drive as the memory on the computer. So for most people who have 1-2Gb memory, any drive over 2Gb is overkill and doesn’t accomplish anything. Let us know if this is not the case.
this is not just for vista, its good for other things as well. for example, you do not need to spin up the hdd every time you need something written. say a log file on a not-to-buzy web server. it simply accumilates in the solid-state part until thats full, and only then is it flushed out to the platters. the bigger the flash, the better the savings.
