Samsung’s Galaxy Note7 was an epic failure. But Samsung created an 8-point battery safety check and is promising that there won’t be a repeat of those woes.
Note7 owners will also get priority shipping before other purchasers.
Note7 owners can trade in any of the following phones for $425 off a Note8 instantly:
- Galaxy Note5
- Galaxy S5/S6/S6 Edge/S6 Edge+/S7/S7 Edge
- iPhone SE/5/5S/6/6 Plus/6S/6s Plus/7/7 Plus
- LG G4/G5/G6/V20
- Pixel/Pixel XL
That means Note7 owners can buy an iPhone 5s from Walmart for $99 shipped and get $425 off a Note8!
The Galaxy Note8 sells for $929.99 and is unlocked and compatible with all carriers with no contract required. You can finance the phone with equal payments over 24 months with 0% APR. If you pay with a Chase Ink Bold/Cash/Plus you will also earn 5 points per dollar spent!
The Note8 will be just $504.99 after a $425 trade-in instant discount. If you don’t have a trade-in, adding in the $99 cost for the iPhone trade-in means you’ll pay an effective $603.99, so you’ll save $326 off the regular cost of the Note8!
If you didn’t have a Note7, you can use the instructions in this post to save on a Note8.
- You will be sent a prepaid shipping label to send your trade-in phone to Samsung and you will have 15 days from when you receive your device to send in your trade-in.
- You can trade in devices that are still under a payment plan, but you will still be responsible for remaining payments.
- The traded in phone must power on, hold a charge, not have cracks, and not be blacklisted. You must factory reset your trade-in before shipping it to Samsung.
- You only need to return the phone itself, not any accessories or chargers.
If you pre-order the just announced Galaxy Note8 via the link above you can choose from:
- A free 128GB Micro-SD card and a free wireless fast charge.
Or - A free Gear 360 Camera.
Pre-orders also get 2 months of Samsung Premium Care, which includes in-person support, coverage for accidents and damage, and more.
You can also save $20 off a new Gear VR for the Note8 or $50 off a DeX desktop dock station when you purchase them together with a Note8 pre-order. The discount will only be reflected in your cart.
The Note8 is waterproof, features a 6.3″ 2960×1440 infinity display, and has 64GB of storage which is expandable via the MicroSD slot. 6GB of RAM and the large screen allows it to effortlessly use multiple apps on the screen at the same time.
There are dual 12MP image stabilized cameras on the back for wide angle and telephoto pictures that will allow you to blur and unblur picture backgrounds after taking the picture.
The S pen allows you to take notes, quickly translate text, and more.
Pre-order supplies are limited and will be fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Will you pre-order a Note8?

How do you prove you bought a note 7?
http://www.anrdoezrs.net/links/5298041/type/dlg/http://www.samsung.com/us/galaxy/note8/Note7Promo/
when you press the link it takes you to samsung’s website. and you have to enter a email address (your samsung account). whit that email address they confirm if you had a note 7 or not. (the system verified if that account was signed in on a note 7)
Heyy I’m glad I influenced @Dan to make a post! Placed my pre-order this morning
when will i be charged the first time? now when i purchased or when it arrive ?
Trade in value for Iphone 5s from walmart shows a $200 deduction on Samsungs site. Can you help explain the $425 deduction?
As the post says, this is only for Note7 owners.
Otherwise you’ll want to buy a G4 for trade-in as the post says.
Thank you!
why even buy a note8 to begin with? not even close to iphone standards
Wrong.
How do you know? Care to provide a list of iphone features the Note 8 lacks?
(My advice would be to wait for the Pixel XL 2, anyway. I got a Pixel XL after the hassle of sending back two Note 7’s, and having experienced real reliability after several years of Samsung instability, I’m not going back.)
Doubt the pixel will offer SD storage, dual OIS cameras, waterproof, wireless fast charging, etc.
I’m in for a Note8.
Did we mention that if you are using TMobile, the current thinking is NOT to get a Note 8? (It’s because of an important new radio frequency that TMobile intends to use that the Note 8 does not support.)
My total was 571.78
Why so much?
i had also that total!!!
$535 plus $36.78 tax
Dan, by the Samsung Galaxy S8 trade in, the 15 days were from when they shipped it, however, if it’s during business days, shipping is usually 2 days.
P.S. by the S8 promo, I ended up paying $724 for 2 S8’s +$140 for a US cellular on Ebay to trade in, and I sold the 2nd S8 for $609 online… thanks to Dan.
@dan you forgot to add that if buying a $99 iphone on walmart you can earn 1000 chase ultimate reward points until the end of August when you checkout on walmart.com (desktop) with ChasePay
Don’t think he “forgot” …
i had a note 7 and still have a note 5 for trade in, isn’t it the best option to pre-order from Best Buy since they have a $150 savings in addition to a 50% trade in savings?
i have a Verizon unlimited plan (before this weeks change), when ordering should i buy unlocked or Verizon?
see link https://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung-store/samsung-
note8/pcmcat1502135522036.c?id=pcmcat1502135522036
What’s the out the door price from them?
12.75 monthly for 24 months
I also have note 5 and think that best buy is best deal for trade in…
That is a a good deal, though you lose the savings if you leave Verizon and you don’t have credit card warranty coverage on the phone.
Is there a limit to how many phones you can buy under this promotion ? I placed an order as soon as this promotion was released but thinking of ordering another 1. Wondering if they allow it?
