I personally have this camera and it takes incredible photos and video! You really can’t go wrong with an Elph!
The camera was available for $109 around Black Friday, but has been hanging around $129 since then and has just dropped back down to $109 again.

Is the elph 300 any better?
@Hi:
The 300 allows you to optically zoom during video and has 5x optical instead of 4x but the LCD is a little smaller.
Not worth over $50 more than the 100 though.
Hey Dan,
I meant to ask you a while ago, on my Elph 300, sometimes I want to force the camera to take picture with the flash but there are no options for that (Auto Mode or No Flash Mode that’s all)… is it the same case with the Elph 100?
@Yossi.: yes
@Yossi.:
Sure there is on both models just flip the switch for manual mode.
Wow that’s very strange, apparently on the 300, these options are only available when I am in manual mode (“P”) but inside the photo viewer mode not in the regular “taking picture” mode…
@Hi: By saying “yes” do you mean you are having the same problem on your 100?
How does this compare with the Canon S100?
Except for the price of course…
I have this camera too and love it. Only thing missing is its inability to shoot video in time lapse mode. Too bad.
Can you zoom in and out while recording a video?
@unsure:
Only digitally on the 100. The 300 offers optical zoom changes while shooting, but costs $50 more.
im sorry to be such a novice, but what do u mean by only digitally?
Not very impressed with my 300 my s95 puts it to shame by a long shot
UPDATE!!!
It comes up at $129.00.
@unsure:
The Lens of the camera doesn’t physically move. Digital zoom basically crops your image and magnifies the result of the cropping so it looks like your getting closer to the subject but in reality you are just magnifying the existing image which may give less than satisfactory results.
now 122.99
Now available @ $109 again in all colors!
Witch 1 sohuld i get Elph 100 ? or 300 or 310??
