The Nest webpage discussing the “Farsight” feature (https://nest.com/support/article/What-is-Farsight) seems to indicate that even if the Farsight feature is turned off, the screen will STILL illuminate when it detects movement within 3 feet of the thermostat. There doesn’t seem for there to be a way to turn that feature off. Can someone who has a 3rd Generation Nest chime in here? Thanks.
Not worth getting because of no sabbath mode. You need to remember every week to disable the function
Anyone know if Nest (owned by Google) is still collecting and sending data “home”? The magazines I’ve read say they can tell how many people are in the house, when they come & go, etc.
