You must use a Visa card to pay for the $5 gift card.
Be one of the first 100,000 customers to tweet-a-coffee from 10/28 through 11/6 using a Visa card and you’ll get a bonus $5 Starbucks Card eGift. Qualified recipients will receive their eGift by email within 24 hours.
Limit one Starbucks Card eGift per person.
I tweeted a $5 gift card to my wife. From her Twitter account I clicked on @connect and clicked on the redemption link to get the egift card number. I was able to transfer the gift card onto our shared physical Starbucks Gold card.
And I’ll do the same when the bonus $5 gift card comes as well.

Thanks just got my $5 e-card for being one o the first 100k…
How soon after will I get my bonus egift? Does it come straight to the email on file?
I sent one to my wife, when I redeem it and attempt to transfer it onto any of her Starbucks cards, it says “we’re sorry, we can’t transfer balances between cards from different markets.” Any idea what that’s about?
@Esti:
Took about 4 hours for me.
Yes.
@Dov:
Beats me. I had no issues.
Is her card registered outside the US?
Got both $10 gift cards. Thanks jj1000!!!
can you only do this once or can you send to more people?
Could be cause her Starbucks acc is Canadian so it may not let her tweet a coffee. Even though I was able to tweet her one. Don’t know. At least I got one!
never received anything from starbucks… send $5 to my wife, received no e-gift….
