I made two orders – both were cancelled by CardCash within minutes.
I made another order, which was cancelled as well.
I made 1 order, paid via PayPal and it went fine.. Within a few minutes I received my gift cards by email.
I ordered for Nordstrom, and got the Ecco Windsor (MSRP $250, usually available for $175) for $139 AFTER taxes (shipping is free),
Thanks Dan, I have had my eye on these shoes for a VERY long time!!!
I will be enjoying them for a while!!!
I ordered a $50 Peet’s coffee card. The card arrived with the PIN code already revealed, and checking Peet’s website I found out that the card had already been registered to another user. So, while the card has the promised $50 balance, and I have the card in my possession, this card is still considered by Peet’s to be owned by someone else. That someone can call Peet’s and report this card as lost or stolen, and this card will be instantly invalidated and a new card sent to the original owner with the remaining balance. This situation is highly suspicious at best, or totally fraudulent at worst.
@Michael: That is they suggest using the balance within 45 days of the purchase, so if anything happens CardCash will refund your order.
@Anonymous:
I am aware that they have a 45 day guarantee. But once a buyer has verified that the card is valid and that it has the advertised balance, shouldn’t the buyer be able to reasonably assume that the balance cannot be zeroed out on day 46?
I suspect their business model is to sell cards with the intent of snatching any balance that remains after 45 days. Maybe that is why they don’t disclose that the card being sold has previously been registered in someone else’s name.
Further internet research reveals the following:

One horror story after another. CashCard is not a legitimate business operating in good faith.
Question for dansdeals.com: Do you really want to associate with a shady company like CashCard?
@Anonymous:
@Michael:
Scammers sell cardcash their gift cards and then use the funds after they get paid.
If you use the gift card within 45 days then cardcash stands behind it, so buy them and use it. Don’t save the gift cards.
@Dan:
You should warn your readers by being more explicit about CashCard’s “policy”. A 45-day guarantee is not the same as “use the balance within 45 days because your card will be zeroed out on day 46 and you will have no recourse.”
I repeat: this is not a legitimate business.
I was very harsh on CashCard in my previous comments, and still would not recommend them to my friends and family. However, in the interest of fairness, I feel compelled to report the following:
A few days after contacting CashCard to complain, their Claims Department sent a prepaid return USPS shipping label, which I used right away to return the Peets gift card. A few days after that I received a full refund back to the credit card I used for the purchase. So, in the end I was made whole but it was certainly not worth the trouble.
