It’s 12,500 hyatt points plus about $143 / night. you ever tried it? i guess i could go through the booking to the final stage to see if i can input a gift card but i was curious if you’d ever used them in your adventures.

The credit card online is just to hold the reservation.
You give the gift card at the hotel, done it many times.

Better check the value the minute you get the gift card. I’ve had “several” recently that had no value and/or we’re verified as fraudulent. After 45 days, you’re on your own…..they don’t care.
@Reuben: sent an email last night and woke up this morning to an email from cardcash stating refund has been issued. While I don’t appreciate the unknown factor of the validity of these cards, I do appreciate how quickly they solved the problem!
IMO these cards are best for places where you can immediately offload the balances elsewhere. For example like Starbucks or DD where you can load the GC directly on to your account. Once the funds are on your account you don’t have to worry about them disappearing
I would immediately check the balance and also immediately use. I’m only buying e-gift cards from them. It’s great that they resolve issues, but having to deal with issues 10 minutes after you bought a card is a hassle. I would not buy a card and carry it around.
