Terrible experience yesterday trying to get the 40% promo deal. Computer sluggish and then would not allow me to pay 225 dollars round trip from NY to LA. So I called and that experience was even worse. Waited on hold for 30 minutes. Spoke to a customer rep who was very difficult to understand. Put on hold for 20 minutes after I gave her all the information and was then told their computer system was messed up. (Duh!?) And I needed to give all the information again but by then I ran out of patience and time. It was 2 hours of trying and not booking. All I see when I google Virgin American is years of computer issues. If you can’t deliver a promo because your computers can’t handle the load then you have no business putting the promos out there. They get what they deserve…bad press…bad service….eventually customers get the idea and stay away.
