I just confirmed with them that the membership only has to be ACTIVATED at one of the specified locations in that specific deal. It can then be used at any of their over 200 stores.

@bestwatchman: I’ved found BJs and Costco very similar. For a while now I’ve been shopping at Costco with a GC bought on a friend’s costco account.
This is basically a BJs membership for $10. How can I go wrong?

Sorry for any confusion. The previous answer was incorrect. As long as you do not have a current active BJ’s Membership you are eligible for this deal.

@Aaron: I primarily shop at the BJ’s in College Point and occasionally at the Flushing location. A few months back, the College Point store (I am less certain about the Flushing one, but I think it did too) converted its bakery to kosher and said at the time that it would soon be carrying kosher meats/cheeses (a la Costco). I have not seen these come in yet, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed. They do carry one line of kosher hot dogs/salami/pastrami/corned beef, but so far that’s how it’s stayed. Living in Queens, though, I find meats and cheeses at good enough prices at my local kosher markets that this inconvenience is relatively minor. I personally love BJ’s.

As Dan noted, BJ’s accepts manufacturer coupons, but that is not all. They allow you to stack BJ’s coupons and manufacturer’s coupons on the same item.

FURTHERMORE (Per BJ’s website):

When purchasing a multi-pack, which is a set of items that could be sold individually (each item has a barcode) shrink-wrapped and sold together, Members can combine one BJ’s-issued coupon with manufacturers’ coupons. However, you cannot exceed the actual retail price in the total value of coupons.

Examples of a multipack:

Three-pack of toothpaste
Two-pack of salad dressing
Three-pack of taco kits

Examples of products that are NOT multi-packs:

Box of cereal containing two bags (the bags cannot be sold individually)
Case of water
Case of soda
Case of motor oil

Members may also use one BJ’s coupon and one manufacturer’s coupon on a single item.

In terms of manufacturers’ coupons that are “buy one, get one free,” we will honor the coupon for items in stock as long as our price does not exceed the maximum value stated on the coupon. If the manufacturer’s coupon does not state the maximum value, we cannot honor the coupon.

We cannot accept multiple BJ’s-issued coupons on a product we do not accept mobile coupons at this time.

@ Aaron. Bjs in valley stream doesn’t come close to comparing to Costco in terms of kosher. Bjs does have kosher bakery and one co of pastrami and it is much better than the one Costco has but That’s it. They do not have a full kosher meat line nor an overwhelming kosher selection. That being said, it’s ten bucks so…
