To get this deal you have to see the 50% off banner when you click on the Banana Republic site. If you don’t see it you can keep opening and closing new incognito windows until you see it.

Step 1: Open Chrome.
Step 2: Install this cookie editing extension.
Step 3: Open Banana Republic’s site.
Step 4: Click on the Cookie icon by the URL bar, scroll down, and click on mktUniversalPersist.
Step 5: Delete the entire in the value field and replace it with the entire code found in this post. Just click “select” where it says “Code: [Select]” and then copy and paste it into the mktUniversalPersist field.
Step 6: Click on “Submit Cookie Changes”
Step 7: Refresh the page. You should now see the 50% banner.
At checkout you will then be able to save 50% at Banana Republic with code (Exp 12/18 at 11:59pm EST): BRGIFT50
Plus subscribe to Banana Republic emails and get a 25% off coupon so you can save 25% on top of the 50% off which creates an effective 62.5% discount.
After you enter your email address and select your preferences you’ll be sent a one-time use coupon.
If you already subscribe you can use another email address or just add a +1, +2, +3 after your Gmail address. If your address is banana@gmail.com then banana+1@gmail.com, banana+2@gmail.com, banana+3@gmail.com, banana+4@gmail.com, etc will all work and be sent to your regular banana@gmail.com address.
The email confirmation will only show the 25% discount under promotions as the base price of the item itself will already be discounted by the 50%.
Alternatively: You can get a $20 off $20 promo code when you buy a $100 Banana Republic gift card. Choose the eGift card and both the $100 gift card and $20 promo code will be sent instantly. The $20 promo code stacks with the 50% off sale but it doesn’t stack with the 25% off email coupon.

It you follow the cookie editing instructions exactly it will work.
I reloaded incognito (clearing cookies) and got 50 after 10 tries (1 min)

took a while, but eventually went to the 50%. Interestingly, it applied to most of my order…except one pair of shoes, where only the 25% discount applied.
