It’ll come to $3 with this deal. Buy a $5 GC for $2 and then add $1 to reach $6 for a fancy drink in a reusable red cup.
A lot of work for free $6 (2 PayPal accts). Also did the Groupon $5 for $10 Sbux GC deal from two household accts – had $15 Groupon bucks that I had forgotten about – so a decent way to make sure that those funds didn’t end up as breakage, also had a $5 Paypal login bonus from an old acct that I had claimed.
So all said and done added $33 to my Starbucks balance

Thanks Dan!
When I tried to place order #2 and pay with a second PayPal account, they somehow charged the PayPal account I used for order #1 again, even though I had already logged out of that PayPal account, resulting in a $5 charge with no discount.
Go to your Starbucks account, click on payment method and remove PayPal.
Yup, I saw that afterwards. I never realized it was possible for a website to save my PayPal account to charge it even after I log out of PayPal.
It’s a “holiday” cup.
