Look up the dassler brothers. Founders of Adidas. Very involved in Hitler nazi party. No amount of money will make up for it. I would heavily advise avoiding their product if possible.

I think we all should make a public concerted effort to buy Adidas today. Say what you want about the timing / motives, but it takes courage for a company to drop a deal that constitutes 10% of their annual sales and will cost them $250mm in profit in a single Quarter.

Taking a stand? Is this a joke they were hoping that he would shut his mouth and all this would die down. Now they were put in a corner where not dropping him< then keeping him due to the back lash they would face. Don't be naive this is all profit motivated.

Agreed. I am really confused why folks are thinking they should not buy Adidas… you SHOULD buy Adidas! They spearheaded dropping the guy (renamed himself to Ye… what the heck?!) despite his mental issues and to JJ’s point… they are expecting at least a $250 Million loss in dropping him besides all the legal battles.
They really had no choice. Adidas was founded by a nazi. We’ll never know if they agreed with Kanye or not. They had no choice but to drop him.

Adidas’s founder, Adolf Dassler (after whom the company is named) was a member of the Nazi party and outfitted the Hitler Youth. If it fits the Hitlerjugend, it doesn’t fit my kids. I don’t judge other people but I don’t forgive, I don’t forget.
He was part of the party but very critical of it. His brother and partner who went on to found Puma OTOH was very sympathetic to the Nazi cause.
