But doesn’t record rear of car if someone hits you from behind?
The front facing camera would help by showing what was happening just prior to any rear end collision.
Byr wouldn’t capture the license plate if it’s a hit and run..

You can download on your own wifi without a subscription, it has internal storage.
Not really a surprise, given that it’s owned by Amazon, their biggest business is AWS. (I think it stands for Amazon Web services.)
Sounds about right did force you to use their service on a retail level.
