I don’t know about these models but when I looked into it a while ago there was an issue that you can’t use there on Yom Tov because they don’t use a pilot, they have an igniter and it lights when you turn on the hot water. Not trying to poskin but it might be something to check on.
Yes you cannot use it on Shabbat. We just turn ours off
I heard the same thing about use on Yom Tov. Can’t be used
Are these priice mistakes
So hard to tell with Amazon, but pretty good odds, been posting PM’s for an hour now.
Rebate in Lakewood (from NJNG) is $750 on the above marked machines.
WOW! Which ones?
The 3 models you marked with rebates. On the product page, it says “Rebates starting at $450/$500/$749 (which is the price for the models, respectively)”, and when I click “see rebates”, it displays (by all 3) “$750 mail in rebate from New Jersey Natural Gas”.
Are these Yom tov friendly?
No, Work with electric ignition.
Does anyone have any more information about the potential Y”T issue mentioned by two comments?
Can’t be used on Yom Tov or Shabbat. If you are observant. It should work fine for non Jewish people.
It’s an issue and not allowed. Guess need to be turned off.

I live in NJ, I have a $750 rebate, but it must be installed by a licensed installer to get the rebate, any work Around?
I am a plumber in Miami.
1) Asis for a regular installation, they are absolutely forbidden on Yom Tov, because turning on the water at any faucet DIRECTLY activates the igniter, and starts the fire
2) there are a number of methods that have been developed by some frum plumbers to modify the installation to allow use for Yom Tov. Most involving a circulating pump, and a return line. Contact your local plumber
3) as always, contact your local Rabbi
It does take a second or 2?
Are you defeating the energy savings by having it run consistently.
Probably just turn on the circulating pump on Tom Tov? Assuming the machine is not always going to be on unless the circulating water drops low enough..
Can you install one for me In Miami?
It takes a second or two for the fire to go on, because it is an electrical element ignition (not a Puzo lighter like you have on your stove, that clicks, but rather a heating element that turns red hot, and ignites the gas – like in your oven or dryer) the reaction of the switch is to the water ores and is instantaneous. It is kind of like arguing that when you flip a light switch which is far away from the actual light fixture, a takes a millisecond for the electricity to travel up the wires – especially if it an LED bulb. The ignition switch is a DIRECT reaction to you turning on the water.
2) if done correctly, the circulation pump only runs every once in a while, and for a few minutes
3) Depending I. The cost of Gas, propane and water, the cost of the extra gas is offset by the cost of the water which you usually run (1-2 minute) until the water at your tap gets hot
4) the whole YT issue is way beyond the comments section.
In order to work this out for YT, it should only be configured by a qualified plumber who is very familiar with these issues.
It could work differently in various parts of the country, depending on the temperature of the ground water
This is not exactly an DIY job
Are these good for a pool?
This one also has a $750 rebate in NJ
