Got a card that says $100 but I called to get a balance and the balance is $0

I got all 5 that I ordered but they all appear to be missing a small perforated strip in the back. Does that mean that they’ve already been used?
Check the balance. My card said $100 but balance was zero
I received the gift card with a perforated back. There is no value on the card and my cc has not been charged. cc is still in “pending” status. weird
After they were shipped I got an email from Amazon that there was a price mistake and the cards will not be valid. But they did issue a $25 automatic credit to my account so not a total loss.

After a chat with Amazon I got all gc I ordered at the discounted price.
FYI I purchased two of these gift cards and they were not activated and had no money on them. Had to contact Amazon to get a refund. Very frustrating.
