Last year we saw some unbelievable deals listed below in this post. Many of those deals were Prime Day lead up deals. We will of course be sharing the best deals, but will have to be quick as the best deals always sell out fast.

Prime Day is over, but boy was it fun this year! It made it worth being an Amazon Prime member even if they would quadruple the price!
Despite early bugs on Amazon’s site, we had direct links to all of the deals without needing to wait for the Prime Day deals page to load. It doesn’t seem to have hurt Amazon much, as they had a record sales day. They set out to create a day that is better than Black Friday and it sure seems like they have succeeded.
Thanks to the AMEX promo, I picked up a Kitchenaid Pro Mixer for just $119 after $330 in savings. I’ve never seen this model anywhere near that cheap.
Plus I got to double up on the Whole Foods offer and quadruple up on the AMEX offer by using it twice on my account and twice on my wife’s Prime household account.
What was most amazing is that the AMEX offer took 20% off of the original price. People usually hate that original prices are often inflated, but this time it worked in our favor! It created the ability to get Bose Noise Cancelling headphones for $69, Anova WiFi Sous Vide for $44.19, Lenox China 16 piece sets for $31, Lenox Flatware 112 piece sets for $12, and Samsonite Spinner Luggage Sets for $33.99, and more. Insane!
It will be a long time until I need ziplocs since paying $2 for 1,400 of them!
Kindle Fire Tablets and Kindle E-Readers were just $9.99!
I got a $20 Amazon gift card and grill iron for free and I got Paper towels, toilet paper, and hand towels for free. This iPhone charger and backup was also free with AMEX.
eBay even got into the mix and I got $30 of free stuff from there thanks to having a few Facebook accounts.

I thought amex has a $100 cap
For many people it worked twice (at least). That being $200 in savings.
It worked twice for everyone with the code.
Plus another 2 times for a household account.
I couldn’t figure out why my 20% never went away but late I did have to enter the code a couple times. That seems to have overridden the $100 limit. I went over $100 20% discount on Kindles and over $200 or $300 on Fires alone.

Cuz my bad luck was that bcs I have 4 amazon accounts, I only used up 2 of them for the luggage , and the rest i thought to leave for deals that might come up later… however it did not play well for me cuz at the time I saw that the luggage is that best deal for me to use them all ,the luggage was out of stock… and I got stuck with 2 accounts with 20% amex without using them…..

I used 5 of my 20% promos to get Safeway (Jewel Osco) and Southwest gift cards. Discounted kosher meat is the way to go for me! Used my 6th for the luggage, some random things and prime pantry deal.

I noticed that the deals that were live when Amazon crashed came back after the site was back up. That was very nice of Amazon, and I even noticed some of the deals kept re-appearing like the Sou Vide thingy. I had the links saved like you said, but the pages got refreshed and went straight to the buggy prime day page, leaving me no choice. took advantage of the free $10 gc and 5$ gc for reloading.

Thanks to the Amex offer – I got a FireTV Stick for $12! (It was selling for $20, but the 20% off was on the original price of $40).
But not all items were 20% off the original – it seems based on the math from my order, that the Honor 7x I ordered applied it on the sale price.
I also ordered two ring cameras. Incidentally, one of them was supposed to arrive today, but shipping was delayed. I complained and they credited me for my prime membership. I guess they’re a little trigger happy with the credits because of the fiasco on Monday

My best deals, with amex discount was Kindle and table ($10 apiece), the bose headphones $73, and 2 firesticks at $12.70. Too late for the Samsonite deals. Oh well. I also topped off with 2 safeway and 1 airbnb gift cards at 20% off. I was able to use the amex discount 2 times.
Got the $5 primenow credit for a few items (first time I had seen it) but after research it appears that you can’t stack these and it just a promotion to get you to spend more money. Anyone have any luck?
