The colors on the 940 are much nicer, but if it’s just about the color, it’s not worth the hassle of returning.

If you don’t need HD video and are satisfied with 640 x 480 video you may want to look at the Nikon L22. It’s about $90 dollars and can use regular AA batteries. I love it.

You can’t really compare the 2 cameras. The Canon is a tiny ultra-compact, the nikon is not.

Point taken, my wife has the Canon. It is slightly smaller/actually she has a tough time finding it in her pocket book. One reason its bigger is probably because it uses AA batteries rather than lithium.
I just suggest that people have one camera like the L22 otherwise you may have what always happens to me (forget to charge the batteries and end up taking pictures with the cellphone).

You still need to have extra AA batteries on you and the camera is bigger/heavier.
Personally I have a Canon and bought an extra generic rechargeable battery for $4 and carry that with me when I’m taking more than 300 pics in a day.
Can’t go wrong with that!

Where do u get an extra lithium rechargeable battery from for 4$??? And also do u by any chance know of a deal for just the camera battery charger? Mine broke. I have the canon SD870. Thanks a lot.
