I have a sodastream and it is awesome. No more shlepping cases of seltzer home from the store, I can make it in a few seconds from the comfort of my home for a small fraction of the cost of seltzer from a store.
Best of all I can control exactly how fizzy I want my seltzer, you can make it as weak or as strong as you’d like!
The included Co2 canister makes 60 1L bottles of seltzer (or way more than that if you don’t put in as much fizz.) You can exchange the canisters at tons of stores nationwide. Bed Bath and Beyond charges $12 for a refill with one of their ubiquitous 20% off coupons or $10 with a $5 off $15 coupon.

Be Aware 1)There is no return on this item. 2)If you use spring water it cost more than the soda at the end of the day
@Yankee:
Where do you see that there’s no returns?
Worst case is just return to AMEX.
Do you really only drink spring water?
It’s great that you are promoting SodaStream, on the heels of the court decision in France in their favor. Let’s hear it for, Scarlett! You, too, Dan!
@Dan:
It says on one of their listings that CO2 regulations forbid returns.
I bought it for shabbos use but I can’t use it as it has LED lights!!!!!
go Scarlett Johansson love that Soda stream superbowl commercial
@shmerel berel:
The Jet model has no LED.
I have a soda stream and I put grape juice in there and fizz is so I have sparkling grape juice on Shabbos. I use full grape juice to the fill line — NO WATER!!! Delicious; also I can make it as sparkley as I want.
Cut down on refill costs by using refillable paintball CO2 canisters. I purchased two 20oz canisters and the SodaMod adaptor a couple of years ago and it has saved me countless $$$$ on refills. No, I don’t work for this company nor do I get any referral:

@Yankee: I use this with spring water only. Even if it costs more money, its still a healthier choice than soda if you are buying it just to make seltzer. Also, if you are/were addicted to soda, then this definitely comes out cheaper then soda even with spring water. I used to drink 1+ two liter bottle of soda per meal, and now I am drinking 1 liter+ of sodastream seltzer per meal. So if you do the math (in my scenario) its definitely cheaper.I am sure there are many out there that can relate.
@Dan: Dan: I am assuming the tap water in Cleveland tastes fine, but in the tri sate area in its horrendous in most places.
I bought the Sodastream Jet back during holiday season when @Dan posted the $30 deal.
The one problem is (and I mentioned this last time too), the rebate requires a UPC, but since this is Amazon frustration free packaging there is no UPC. After complaining to Amazon via chat, they gave me $15 off, but just know the rebate will not work without the UPC.
@Shaina: Just so you know, that voids the warranty.
I always wondered what happens out f you first add flavor and then add fizz. Anybody try that?
@Yalili:
The rebate is mentioned on the Amazon page.
Shouldn’t be hard to get Amazon to give you a $15 refund.
Where do you get the coupon for the gas refill?
I got the Sodastream when Dan had a link for $70.
I’m a little disappointed for two reasons:
1-I can only make one bottle at a time. If I have company and want to have 2 or 3 bottles on the table, I have to pour over into another bottle, so I can use the original one to make more.
2-It occupies space on my kitchen counter which I would rather not .
@Dan: I know. And they stick the rebate form in the box too. That was the angle I used when I contacted them. How can they send a rebate form with a product that doesnt qualify for the rebate. They actually gave me an additional 20% off which came out to about $16
@Sara: You can buy extra bottles.
@username: That would void the warranty as well.
The free CO2 refill is so they can ship them with a mini canister instead of the full size canister they used to ship with. Now they put a mini in there, and just give you a “free refill” so you’ll need to pick it up yourself from an exchange location.
