Update: DEAD!
These were $269 earlier today.
Note that newer Bose QC25’s were released last year, but Bose noise cancelling headphones rarely go on sale, so this is a nice discount.
I still own a pair of QC15s and they’re a dream come true while traveling. They’re comfortable enough to wear for hours on end, by far the most comfortable headphones I’ve ever owned.
Yes, they’re very expensive. But they’re built well and last for many years. Divide the cost over the amount of flights you take in 5 years and see if they’ll pay for you. Not that you can’t use them while you’re studying or any other time, but that’s when they really shine.
The noise cancellation drowns out the drone of the airplane engine so well that when you take them off in middle of a flight you’ll be in shock that you were ever able to fly without them. They make for a peaceful flight and I sleep like a baby on the plane with them over my ears.
Included is a small carrying case and two audio cables. One is standard for laptops/phones and one has a mic/remote for iPhone/iPod control and hands-free iPhone calling.

I was in BJs yesterday and saw them there for 239.99 also.
If you had the Amex targetted offer, that would further reduce the price.
Unless there is a great benefit to ordering from Amazon for extra points.
Just another option.
@mechayamom:
Cool.
Can earn 5x points at Amazon by buying gift cards with Ink though.
Also you need to be a BJs member for that. And Amazon doesn’t charge tax to all states.
Personally I would recommend the QC20 as they are more comfortable for sleeping. But that’s just my preference as I tend to be a side sleeper on the plane.
@Mileagejunkie:
I strongly prefer the QC15s over the QC20.
More passive noise cancellation, more comfortable, and much better battery life.
Got the BJs membership a while back with Groupon…for like $10…was $35 and got a $25 gift card.
Considering buying myself a pair..DH has a pair said I could have.
Buying purchases like these using Amazon gift cards wont get the extended warranty like using Amex will it? I tend to load up on Amazon gift cards for other stuff I dont care about.
@mechayamom:
AMEX warranty is great for computers and stuff, but I’d be very surprised if you need it for this.
I’ve had mine for 7 years without issue and problems are very uncommon with these.
Talked me into it…I see buying myself a present
you can get these at costco for $215
That’s a good price. The best I’ve seen on QC15’s is Costco in the store for about $250.
