Amazon Prime Day, Act 4 Starts Tomorrow: Everything You Need To Know To Maximize Your Savings
4 years ago Amazon started “Black Friday in July.” While the first year was somewhat of a letdown for many people, the past 2 years were packed with some really great bargains, with over 100 deals posted last year! There were great sitewide coupons including 30% off apparel, 35% off groceries, 70% off diapers, wipes, and many more coupons.
Last year had some incredible price mistakes and stacking coupons. The past two years ago had some of the lowest prices we’ve ever seen on many everyday items such as toilet paper, tinfoil, ziplocs, lightbulbs, soap, Samsonite Luggage, blenders, Roombas, books, DNA tests, drills, toys, as well as sales on electronics like Bose Headphones, flash memory, gaming consoles, printers, Chromebooks, vacuums, TV’s, kitchen appliances/mixers, Amazon devices, even Amazon Gift Cards were on sale, and much more.
It’s very likely that we’ll see some amazing deals from Amazon competitors like Walmart as well. Other websites like Best Buy, eBay, Macy’s, Jet, and more will also try to get in on the action. Target has already announced they will be having sales that day as well.
Amazon has already launched many deals as lead up Prime Day deals. The best deal we’ve seen so far is a targeted 20% off site wide coupon when using 1 AMEX point. Be sure to check if you are eligible for that promotion. You can read some amazing ways to take advantage of that promotion here. You can be sure there will be many more incredible uses of this promotion on Prime Day itself.

A prime trial is also free with Amazon Family (which also gets you 20% off diapers and wipes among other benefits) or Amazon Student. You can also get discounted Prime if you have an EBT card. Be sure to share your household membership to double up on savings.
2. Follow deals posted on the Amazon Prime Day Homepage as well as all deals on this page, where you can narrow deals by the categories that interest you on the left side of the page.
3. Many of the special Prime Day deals will be featured as Amazon Lightning Deals. The best deals will be claimed very quickly so if you see an item you want add it to your cart the moment it goes live. Once added to your cart you will have 15 minutes to decide whether you want to purchase it or not. If you missed the opportunity to claim something you wanted, join the wait list. You will have to monitor your cart. If the item expires in someone else’s cart, it will then appear in yours and you will have 15 minutes to complete your purchase.

How do I know if my entry was granted?
How do I use one “point”? Every time I try, it says one “dollar” ( which uses approx 140 points). Please advise.
