After Canada announced that they are closing their borders, WestJet will suspend all international flights from March 23 through at least April 20.
All international flights, including US flights, during that timeframe will be cancelled.
WestJet will also reduce its domestic Canada flight schedule by 50%.
Be sure to push for a cash refund for cancelled flights or dispute the charge on your card if your flight is cancelled. Note that if your bookings were done with a travel agent, disputes come out of their pocket, so it should only be used as a last resort as the travel agent will have to eat the loss.

What about flights booked through ultimate rewards points?
Contact Chase for a refund.
Ok. Thanks
Interesting that they cancelled U.S. flights as well, given that Canada’s ban exempts Americans. Not sure why they did that, but it certainly doesn’t bode well for Americans to continue to be able to enter Canada going forward.

Do you know that despite the airline waivers Priceline still charges $30 to cancel or reschedule a flight? Is there any recourse to not pay it
Off-topic. Any word on Air Tahiti Nui ?
as of now they seem to still be flying and the planes according to the seat maps look to me to be surprisingly full

What is the process to get a cash refund? I booked through flight hub. Am an elderly person so definitely cannot travel.
Ultimate Rewards is giving me a run around saying they are bound by Westjet policy only offering travel credit. Any advice?
