United cardholders can bid on a flight simulator experience on 9/16 or on 10/21.
United will auction off 4 packages for each of those dates.
Winners will receive round-trip coach airfare for 2 to Denver, 2 hours of Airbus simulator flying time, 2 hours of Boeing simulator flying time, Meet and greet with the United Flight Training Center team, Emergency procedures tour, including classroom and emergency slide, Premium souvenir gift, Complimentary breakfast and lunch, and a Champagne toast.
But will you be able to order a kosher meal? 😉
The auctions will close on 8/26 and the current minimum bid is 257,000 miles.
Looks like an awesome experience but you won’t have to compete against me for this one. I already got to fly in an Airbus simulator in Toulouse. Besides, it will be tough to top a value of 50 cents per mile or the thrill of stealing 2nd base in middle of an MLB game.
United cards include the:
- United Gateway℠ Card
- United℠ Explorer Card
- United Quest℠ Card
- United Club℠ Infinite Card
- Chase United Business Card

Would need to open every single united card for the minimum bid….
Or transfer from Chase.
You can get this experience without bidding for 100,000 EVA miles.
If you’re in Taiwan.
And only if you have EVA Gold/Diamond elite status.
And you still don’t get even close to 4 hours of sim time or the other package benefits.
I’m pretty comfortable going out on a limb that you can put together a flight to Taiwan and a similar amount of sim time for less miles then this package will go for.
But your definitely right, if a ” Premium souvenir gift, Complimentary breakfast and lunch and a Champagne toast. ” is what your here for then bid away.
And you’re getting status from?
Never mind that the country has been closed to tourism for 2.5 years now.
And you’ll probably have to leave early if you bid on the packege for 9/16 due to shabbos
Why?
It starts Friday morning, I highly doubt it will extend past business hours.
But yes, you would have to spend Shabbos in or around Denver. Plenty of beautiful places to do that.
It ends at 6pm and candle lighting is 45 min later
You can use the LY 737 simulator for couple hundred $
Or just do this, I’m sure you can negotiate a burger from SF… as well as a longer ride

Do we know who won this?
