Update, 10/8: The 48 pack is sold out once again.
You can still save on smaller sizes, like the 24 pack, 12 pack, or backpack. The 12 or 24 pack can be used as a carry-on or checked bag, and has the advantage of keeping a smaller amount of food colder, as tightly packed food will stay frozen longer than loose items.
Update, 10/8: The large 48 pack Polar Bear Cooler is now back in stock! This size has sold out the past few times we shared it within a matter of hours
Plus, you can stack 50% off code: 2112

I LOVE Polar Bear suitcases. As you probably know, I have a bit of a travel addiction. And while I enjoy a trip to Miami every now and then, I don’t dream about flying to Miami. I loved exploring far-flung places like Longyearbyen, Palau, Tasmania, Zimbabwe, Patagonia, the Maldives, the Whitsunday Islands, or Antarctica! As a kosher observant Jew that means I have to bring my own food unless there happens to be a Chabad House with a restaurant at my destination.
On shorter trips, I just freeze food a few days before the trip and the food arrives frozen. But on longer trips, on trips when there can be weather that cancels a flight, or when the connections times are very tight or long I pack my items in a Polar Bear suitcase.
Food that’s been frozen solid beforehand will stay frozen for a few days in a Polar Bear suitcase without any ice. If you add ice packs it will stay frozen for few days longer.
It truly opens up the world for anyone who needs to travel with perishables. The 48 pack is the largest size that they make. The trick to expand it is to fill it up with warm water and let it stand with water in it for half an hour or so. After that, you should be able to fit about 50 pounds of food or about 2 dozen small trays of food in it, depending on how well packaged the food is. For family travel, expect to need a couple of these.

How does Polar Bear compare to AO cooler and Norchill cooler?
48 pack back in stock and 50% code still working.
Got one black and one navy.
Thanks!
Just purchased two navy. THANKS!
Could you elaborate on the “filling up with water” to expand item. Does one fill up the entire inside with water? Out of curiosity, water generally weakens vinyl etc. Is this any risk? How long should i fill it for? Truly interested. THANKS!!
Is this better than any typical Igloo cooler?
lol thought i was getting 48 coolers
1 milchigs, 1 fleishigs, 1 parve, 1 for fish, 1 for Treif (dog food etc.) x2 for pesach = 10
If you want 3 for each, hot, cold, and room temp = 30
But why do you need 48?
7/29 – DEAD (again) 48 black and blue – hope it comes back, that is a steal!
Ignore my comment – wasn’t using the direct link

Just got last month while the 48 was still available. Can apply the code retroactively for a refund?
Dan,
Do you check these coolers in under the plane? Any reason to worry about them getting damaged?
Thanks!
Yes, dozens of times without issue!
Thank you!
black and navy are sold out
Not stacking
It is, read the update again.
Thanks for the tip about expanding it!
Instead of cooler packs that take up space and weight, I either bring frozen milk or put the frozen food in, pour water into zip locks which form around the crevasses, and put the whole polar bear, unsealed, into a chest freezer for the water to freeze. Also can pour water directly into the bag to freezer around waterproof food containers. Has the added bonus of being packed and ready when its time to go.
Does the 48 for 9×13 pans?
