Texas Governor Greg Abbott has signed an executive order requiring passengers from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and New Orleans to self-quarantine for 2 weeks.
This comes after the White House Coronavirus Task Force advised that New Yorkers self-isolate for 14 days if they travel and after Florida required them to do go.
It includes passengers originating or connecting through an airport in those locations.
Passengers from those locations will have to designate a quarantine location and officers will follow up to confirm that you are there for 14 days. You must go directly from the airport to the quarantine location and you can only leave for medical care or to depart Texas.
Violators will face 180 days in prison and/or a $1,000 fine.

Highly doubtful anyone will be flying New Orleans to Texas. Only a 5 hour drive to HOUSTON
they can still drive there and be required to quarantine. its not just fly-ins
It is just flying. Read the order.
What if they want to go to Dallas?
Yay for Texas!
Is this retroactive to anyone who arrived in the last 14 days?
I have a flight booked from NYC to Austin for mid-April and have been waiting for a cancellation to receive credit card refund. Will this new quarantine help me in calling airline for refund now?
I have the same situation. Booked beginning of April. Thanks for the sob story idea.
