T-Mobile has added United to their collection of free in-flight WiFi with select plans.
The T-Mobile Magenta plans includes 4 full flight sessions per year and 1 hour of streaming on flights after that. Magenta Max includes unlimited in-flight WiFi.
Those plans have worked on Alaska, American, and Delta flights with GoGo WiFi until now, though those airlines has been moving to other in-flight satellite WiFi providers.
United works with multiple providers, but United manages the billing for them. For now, T-Mobile customers will get Wi-Fi on United’s 737s, MAX8s, MAX9s, select 757-300s and select A319s with Wi-Fi supported by Viasat and Thales. The plan is to add free WiFi on widebody and regional planes as well in the future.
Do you use T-Mobile for their perks like free in-flight and international coverage?

That has worked for me in the past. Dan, you’re saying that by doing that, I’m using up one of the 4 uses? Or this is specific to United?
