Starwood has luxury suites that they either auction off or sell for Starpoints with the Cubs, Knicks, Lakers, Clippers, NY Rangers, and LA Kings.
Suites include free food and drink and SPG will even supply kosher food upon request.
Recently they’ve been having trouble selling some of their NBA and NHL suites, so they have been dropping the price close to the event.
The prices seem to drop until they get a buyer.
For example:
- NY Knicks SPG Luxury Suite access at MSG. These are normally 40K Starpoints for 2 event level tickets with access to the SPG Luxury Suite. However games that are within 3 days are dropping down to 30K and can drop down to 20K even closer in if they still don’t sell. For example Friday night’s game was 40K yesterday and dropped to 30K today.
- NY Rangers SPG Luxury Suite access at MSG. These started off the season as 55K Starpoints for 2 event level tickets with access to the SPG Luxury Suite. However SPG has dropped the regular price on these to 45K, games within 6 days are dropping down to 35K, and can drop down to 20K even closer in if they don’t sell. For example this coming Monday night’s game was 45K yesterday and dropped to 35K today.
- LA Clippers and LA Lakers SPG Luxury Suite access at Staples Center. You can redeem 25K Starpoints for 2 seats in the SPG Luxury Suite. However games that are within 4 days are dropping down to just 10K. For example Saturday night’s game was 25K and dropped to just 10K.
- LA Kings SPG Luxury Suite access at Staples Center. You can redeem 25K Starpoints for 2 seats in the SPG Luxury Suite. However games that are within 4 days are dropping down to just 15K. You’ll also get Hyde Lounge access and 20% off at the TEAM LA store. For example Thursday and Saturday night’s games were 25K and dropped to just 15K.

No kosher food then – “Kosher meals are not available on Friday or Saturday events and must be requested at least one week in advance of the event you are attending.”
