Signup For CLEAR Plus For $119 After $80 Discount
Signup for a new CLEAR Plus via the link above by 3/7 and you’ll pay $119 for the first year instead of $199, subsequent years will cost $199. CLEAR often ends promotions like this early, so sign up now if you want to take advantage of the promo!
CLEAR Plus normally costs $199/year, but United and Delta non-elite members can enroll in CLEAR Plus for $189/year. United and Delta cardholders and mid-tier elite members can enroll in CLEAR Plus for $159/year. Top tier elites get CLEAR Plus for free. You may be able to contact CLEAR after enrollment to get a refund for the difference by linking those programs to your account.
You can set your account not to auto-renew.
The AMEX Business Platinum Card, The Platinum Card® from American Express, AMEX Green Card, and Hilton Aspire Card have a $199 annual credit for CLEAR.
A CLEAR Plus member can add up to 3 adults for $119 each, which can also be covered by those cards. Kids under 18 can go with their parents for free without a membership or biometrics required.
That means with this promotion, you can enroll 2 adults for $238, of which $199 would be covered by the cards above.
CLEAR Plus allows you to skip to the front of the line. If you have PreCheck you can skip to the front of the PreCheck line and if you don’t have PreCheck you can skip to the front of the regular line.
You don’t need to take out your ID either, your fingerprint or eye act as your ID.
The dependability that skipping the line gives you is simply amazing. It means I can leave my house 55 minutes before a flight and know that I won’t miss my flight out of CLE. When I’m with my family I’ll leave plenty of time and enjoy the airport lounge, but if I’m solo, the less wasted time in the airport is always a win.
Sadly, lines have grown in some airports though. In some airports, the CLEAR line can sometimes stretch longer than the non-CLEAR line. But at least for me, I have found it to be a big time saver, but it certainly varies by the airport.
Do you enjoy using CLEAR? How have the lines been in your home airport?

Is there a benefit to get clear if you have Global entry/tsa pre check?
Sure, they’re totally separate programs.
CLEAR Plus will typically get you a shorter line at regular security or at PreCheck lines.
Anyway, to use these if I had membership in the past that expired?
You can ask for that account to be closed and open a new account with a new email.
Would it work to cancel the current clear (signed up in 2024) and sign up again? Would what we paid last year be prorated?
I am not really clear about this.
Clear is in very few airports and not worth the trouble, tsa much better.
59 airports are very few?
Sure, but why is it binary?
Used it in BUf, BWI, EWR and MIA each time saving me at least 10 minutes each time.
My experience in CLE is that Clear is not worth the extra money over TSA pre.
Really depends on the time of day and week.
There have been times when there’s no difference, and times when there’s a 20+ minute difference.
The avoidance of that variance is what makes it worthwhile for me, though I get it free anyway.
Used it once in MCO (Orlando) took me longer than the regular line.
Also, more than once I was randomly selected to show my ID. No showing ID is part of why I enjoy Clear.
Got it completely free for both me and my husband between the Amex business platinum and united quest cards (received an automatic $40 refund when I linked my united account). Thank you!
