You’ll receive a $75 Uber voucher via email within 14 days after enrollment.
The Uber voucher will expire on 3/31/25 and is valid on Uber Eats or rides multiple times until the funds are exhausted.
You can save 1 voucher per promo period to an Uber account, so this can be saved to your account even if you did this promotion last month.
CLEAR tracks existing memberships by email address, so a new email address will qualify for a new promo award.
You will get the promotion after signing up online, without needing to complete the airport registration.
It’s worth noting that this isn’t the cheapest price for CLEAR Plus.
CLEAR Plus normally costs $199/year, but United and Delta non-elite members can enroll in CLEAR Plus for $189/year. United and Delta cardholders and mid-tier elite members can enroll in CLEAR Plus for $159/year. Top tier elites get CLEAR Plus for free. You may be able to contact CLEAR after enrollment to get a refund for the difference by linking those programs to your account.
You can set your account not to auto-renew.
The full annual fee will be reimbursed once per calendar year if you use an AMEX Business Platinum Card, The Platinum Card® from American Express, AMEX Green Card, or Hilton Aspire Card, as those cards have a $199 annual credit for CLEAR.
A CLEAR Plus member can add up to 3 adults for $119 each, which can also be covered by those cards. Kids under 18 can go with their parents for free without a membership or biometrics required.
CLEAR Plus allows you to skip to the front of the line. If you have PreCheck you can skip to the front of the PreCheck line and if you don’t have PreCheck you can skip to the front of the regular line.
You don’t need to take out your ID either, your fingerprint or eye act as your ID.
The dependability that skipping the line gives you is simply amazing. It means I can leave my house 55 minutes before a flight and know that I won’t miss my flight out of CLE. When I’m with my family I’ll leave plenty of time and enjoy the airport lounge, but if I’m solo, the less wasted time in the airport is always a win.
Sadly, lines have grown in some airports though. People report that in Newark the CLEAR line can sometimes stretch longer than the non-CLEAR line. But at least for me, I have found it to be a big time saver, but it certainly vaiers by airport.

I have an expired account. If I use a new email, will I need to complete the full registration in the airport again?

I have an active clear account whose membership will expire in September. I will probably be closing my Amex Platinum account before the memberships renewal. I charged the clear membership fee to my amex platinum in 2023. If I create a new account with a new email and use that same amex platinum, will Amex still cover the cost with a statement credit?

Why would you want to do that? If you have your own Amex Platinum then they reimburse the full fee, if not you can always buy one on DDF.

I had CLEAR for a year. Being that I have TSA Pre-check, I never felt like CLEAR saved me time, sometimes I felt like it was taking me longer than the non-CLEAR line.
