For obvious reasons saver award tickets to Israel have never been easier than right now.
For people redeeming round-trip coach saver awards to Israel in advance you are probably better off accumulating points on the Barclaycard Arrival Plus™ World Elite MasterCard® rather than traditional miles as the 2.11% back will probably be easier to use and require fewer points.
Saver awards typically open up within a month of the flight. Here is a look at some of the nonstop options from North America to Tel Aviv.
I didn’t include El Al in this snapshot as their industry trailing website makes it too time intensive to search for lots of award space, but their nonstop coach award can be booked by American for 45K miles each way and their nonstop business award can be booked by American for 67.5K miles each way.
Note that if you’re willing to fly with connections that there’s much more availability, but this post is just looking at nonstop flights. Of course if you’ve been to a DansDeals seminar hopefully you know of even more ways to find award space.
United: Newark-Tel Aviv nonstop saver award space
-A coach round-trip with ANA/AMEX miles is 60K or a one-way “workaround” ANA award is 38K. A business round-trip is 90K. No fuel surcharges for United flights
