Transfer Citi ThankYou Points To Wyndham And Get A 20% Bonus

Citi points normally transfer instantly to Wyndham at a 1:1 ratio. Through 9/16, you’ll get 1.2 Wyndham points for each Citi point transferred.

Wyndham hotels can either cost 7.5K, 15K, or 30K Wyndham points per night. There are several options in Israel for 15K points, though you may need to call to book with points.

A better value than Wyndham hotels can be Vacasa home rentals, which cost 15K Wyndham points per bedroom per night, or 12.5K Citi points with this bonus.

You can call 800-441-1034 to book that with Wyndham points. You can then transfer points instantly from Citi to Wyndham to book a vacation rental.

Note that rentals that cost more than $500 per bedroom per night may not be available to book with Wyndham points.

Have you booked any home rentals with Wyndham points? Will you take advantage of this transfer bonus?

Chase also has a Wyndham offer on its cards, plus Wyndham generally has nice bonus point offers when you book multiple nights. The current one is:

STAY EARN
2 Consecutive Nights 5,000 Bonus Points
3 Consecutive Nights 10,000 Bonus Points
4+ Consecutive Nights 15,000 Bonus Points

I assume this stacks with the Rewards+ rebate? Which would means an effective transfer ratio of 3:4 (.9:1.2).

This also stacks with the 10% Wyndham cardmember discount. So the night would cost 13.5k Wyndham points per night if you have a Wyndham card.

Has anybody used points for Vaasa Home rentals

is there good value?

its 15k total per night no other fees?

I used it recently in Kona, Hawaii and it was excellent value! Property that was over $300 per night was just 15K points (+10% back for being a cardholder, so just 13.5K points per night), and no fees if redeeming points.

I just redeemed a 3 night stay that was listed at about $1300 after tax. 2 rooms so 90K Wyndham points or 75K Citi points total. The listing said pets were allowed but the person at the Wyndham reservation number said I need to call the property number they will give me to pay a pet fee but they didn’t know the exact amount. I think some places also have a per person resort fee you pay on arrival but that should be clearly noted in the listing. I confirmed all points are refunded if cancelled within 30 days of reservation.

FYI, I attempted to ask some questions about booking via the email above and got this reply:
To review/ cancel or book a Vacasa location(s) using your Wyndham Rewards points, you now just need to call 1-800-441-1034.
Reservations can no longer be reviewed or made via triprewards.fulfillment@wyndham.com.

Also, the number Dan listed now goes direct to someone’s desk and they are on vacation. Use 1-800-441-1034 instead.
