Transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards Points Into Marriott Points And Get A 40% Bonus
Chase points normally transfer into Marriott points at a 1K:1K ratio, but until 6/15 you can get 1,400 Marriott points for every 1,000 Chase points.
That’s not a particularly good deal. I’d value Marriott points at about 0.6 cents each, so with typical usage you would only get a value of 0.84 cents per Chase point. You can do much better with other transfer or redemption options. You can often buy Marriott points with a promo here that will make more sense than a transfer.
However, If you need some Marriott points for a niche lucrative hotel redemption then it can make sense to transfer or purchase points.
For example, a 5 night stay in an overwater villa in the Maldives can be had at hotels like the Ritz-Carlton Maldives, W Maldives, or S. Regis Maldives from 284K Marriott points, or 202.8K Chase points, where you can often get outsized value for your points. I’ve stayed at the latter 2, and they are heaven on Earth! With paid rates that can exceed $10,000 for a 5 night stay after tax, that’s an awesome use of Marriott points.

5 nights at The Al Maha Dubai Resort, which has villas with private pools as their base room, all meals (even kosher meals!) included and 2 daily desert adventure activities included, can be had for 332K points.
If you transfer Marriott points into airline miles at 60K increments you get a 25% bonus, so it can also make sense to transfer if you need a few points to hit a 60K increment.
60K Marriott points converts into 20-25K airline miles or 30K United miles, so it won’t be worth transferring Chase points just to transfer to an airline as it would take 42.8K Chase points to get 60K Marriott points with this transfer bonus. That is unless you really want miles with a Marriott partner like Aegean, Alaska, ANA, Copa, Etihad, Hawaiian, Korean, LATAM, Qantas, or Turkish that don’t transfer directly from Chase and you’re willing to accept a 42.8K:25K transfer ratio.
Transferring points will also extend the 24 month expiration date from the date of your last qualifying activity.

I’ve tried finding a link to purchase Marriott points so thanks for posting. Are there ever promotions for it like with purchasing Hilton points?
Thanks!
Not quite as lucrative or as often as Hilton, but they do offer some decent promotions.
How can’t figure it out when in chase
Which card are you trying from?

See the post for which cards can transfer points.
Redeeming chase points is just getting worse and worse… Even the travel portal is significantly more expensive for every hotel I checked
Wish they would bring back the 1.5 pay yourself back…
If I close my Amex Marriot bonvoy do I lose my points. How long after I close the card can I still use the points? Can I combine the points to my husband’s account (the same address)?
Thnx
No

I thought the Maldives don’t deserve any more mentions (or free advertisements). No?
