Earlier this year, Hilton stole away SLH Hotels from Hyatt. Most of those are now bookable with Hilton points and it’s a big win for the program.
You can view all currently bookable SLH locations here. Expect more to come online in the coming weeks and months through next year.
Note that the flexible award calendar isn’t working for SLH hotels, so you’ll have to select dates to see the points availability.
As with all Hilton hotels, base rooms are available at the standard points rate, which is typically a good value. Premium rooms are rarely a good value with Hilton.
As with all Hilton hotels, the 5th award night is free for Hilton cardholders/elites. You can also use Hilton AMEX free night certificates at SLH hotels.
You can buy Hilton points on sale here.
You can also transfer 1 AMEX points into 2 Hilton points. Or you can transfer other bank points into Virgin Atlantic points. You can then transfer increments of 10K Virgin Atlantic points into 15K Hilton points.
All Hilton members receive Hilton points, free WiFi, bottled water, waived resort fees on points stays, and late checkout subject to availability on SLH stays. Elites receive the same elite point bonus as with all Hilton hotels. Gold and Diamond members are eligible for space-available upgrades, and daily continental breakfast for 2.
- Sample standard points cost at select SLH hotels in Hilton points, versus the old Hyatt rates:

- Opus XVI, Bergen: 60K Hilton points (Was 15K Hyatt)
- Altstadt Vienna: 60K Hilton points (Was 15K Hyatt)

Definitely a loss. But at least they left us with something
To me, those seem pretty reasonable. I figure a Hyatt is worth 3-4x a Hilton.
I couldn’t hold off on using Hilton points to book a great deal in the Maldives at an SLH property. The “return on investment” seems crazy good.
The Maldives is essentially Judenrein since banning Israelis in June 2024.

It’s still open if having a non-Israeli passport eligible for use to enter the country. Tourists visiting the country aren’t required to declare religion to visit the country.
Would love to visit Maldives again and have a non Israeli passport, but how safe is it to go there as a recognizable Jew? I’m not going to compromise on my values nor am I going to put myself into danger if it’s unsafe to go there as a Jew.
please explain?
TIA
It’s breakfast and dinner included for 2 adults and the seaplane transfer is complimentary for points bookings. For the Milaidhoo that is. I will probably pay up for the beach villas since it came in under budget.
But now availability is shot for those who didn’t pay close attention to what I indicated on the 11 days ago unless you are looking for one-nighters.
not bad. Will FNC’s work?
Yes
The American Colony Hotel is the only listed hotel in Israel. It’s in Jerusalem, just east of the Green Line, in Sheikh Jarrah. It’s a beautiful historic hotel. The restaurant is not Kosher. They are used to Kosher-keeping customers and will not bother you if you sit in the restaurant but don’t order anything if you are staying in the hotel (it’s in a pretty outdoor garden setting). Staying inside of the hotel itself should be safe enough as the hotel has its own security, but I would not recommend walking outside of the hotel on foot in this post-October 7th world. Instead, call a Gett taxi and have them pick you up right out front.
For travelers who earn their points PAYING for Hilton rooms, these point rates probably seem OK. But if you were staying in the SLHs by ginning up credit card points, they probably seem much more expensive then when they were in the Hyatt program.
how will I find the dates of availability on some of these. When i check St. Moritz its 430,000 points not 130,000
