Save 20% Off Southwest Award Tickets
Use promo code on the flight search page: SAVE20NOW
- Book by 3/31
- Travel by 5/25
You can save 20% off the points rate for Southwest awards. The points rate will vary based on the paid cost of a flight. You can search for flights on sale here.
If you previously purchased Southwest travel, you will want to reprice it now to check if you should cancel and rebook it!
For example a one-way Boston-Baltimore nonstop flight on 4/27 is $44.98 with tax. It can also be bought for 2,468 points plus $5.60 tax without the code or 1,974 points with the code. 2,468 points gets you a value of $39.38 ($44.98 airfare less the $5.60 tax on the points ticket), imputing a value of 1.6 cents (39.38/2,468) per point without the code. 1,974 points gets you a value of $39.38 ($44.98 airfare less the $5.60 tax on the points ticket), imputing a value of 2 cents (39.38/1,974) per point with the code.
Chase points transfer to Southwest at a 1:1 ratio.

I dont see where to enter the promo code
Found it. First page
Yup, need to select points.
Thanks for the heads up, but I just checked on my 3 flights and even with the 20% off they now require more points. I just made them 2 days ago so they must have raised prices today before they came out with this promotion. Interesting.
My flight is the same price as 2 weeks ago in points I just dont see where to enter the code.
the code is SAVENOW
One thing with Southwest is that their nonstop routes are really lacking for many of us.
For example NYC to southern CA no nonstop options
same for NYC( I dont consider Islip a good option) to south Florida etc…
Southwest was great for me when they flew from EWR…
+1
too bad what a loss
every area has its advantages- from here in BWI area, we have better SW options, but you have a whole other world of options of airlines with wonderful promos that are not convenient for us out of NYC- part of the game, take what you can 🙂
lol, the free change is still better / lower pts, as the disc pts in apr. is considerably higher for a fri to tues r/t
i have500 points. that means that i will be paying for most of the flight. does the discount only work on the part of the purchase done with points?
also even without points is it possible to purchase points and then get the discount?
Darn it I just landed with SW
Thank you!
not working
No issue just now. Score! Promo code SAVE20NOW has been applied.
Why don’t I see the option to transfer points from Chase Rewards to travel partners?
My bad. I was looking in a chase account that only has Ink Business unlimited so there’s no transfer option.
Shkoyach!
Reading the comments, and in light of my experience, I think that you should specify that the promo code is entered BEFORE searching for flights.
