Over the Passover holiday, Marriott finally brought some Starwood tech, circa 2007, onto their 2023 site.
Who knows, maybe one day they will fix the Marriott airline transfer calculator that worked just fine on SPG.com?
You can now transfer points between Marriott members via this online form instead of having to contact Marriott to do so.
While Starwood allowed unlimited transfers between members with the same address listed on their account, Marriott only allows members to transfer 100,000 points per year to other accounts (that’s 33,333 Starpoints for those still keeping score at home) and can receive up to 500,000 points per year.
Oh for the SPG days…
Points will be transferred within 24 hours of filling out the form.
Note that unlike Hyatt, Marriott doesn’t count member to member point transfers as activity to extend the points expiration of both accounts by 24 months. However if points in one member’s account is going to expire, this is a good way to move them to a more active account so that they don’t expire.

How can i bring back Marriott points to live ?
I got an email a few weeks ago about upcoming points expiring
Now I checked my wife’s account and see that 150,000 points expired at the end of February. There was no warning whatsoever. Any way to get those back? Is there a number to call?

transferred some remaining points about two days ago. Just received confirmation that : “Dan has shared xxx points with you”. Note that I am Dan, the points came from Marry… Marriott at its best…

Very Timely. We had enough points to book 3 night stay with my account and another 3 with my Wife’s account. After reading this post, I transferred 1 night’s worth between accounts, which in turn let us get the take advantage of the book 4 nights, get one night free promotion – so we changed a 6 (3 + 3) night reservation to a 7 (5 + 2) night reservation for no additional points. The points were available within 5 minutes of the transfer.
