You can transfer increments of 1,000 AMEX Membership Rewards Points into 1,250 Air France/KLM Flying Blue Miles through 11/30.
Unfortunately Flying Blue now charges much more for Delta flights than they used to. However with a 25% bonus, there are still good deals to be had.
For example, a Delta flight nonstop between JFK and Tel Aviv is currently 37K miles. That’s equal to about 29.6K AMEX points with the bonus.
A Delta flight nonstop between Boston and Tel Aviv is currently 36K miles. That’s equal to about 28.8K AMEX points with the bonus.
Here is a look at currently available dates for flights on Delta:
JFK to Tel Aviv valid dates:
January 1, 10, 25, 27, 29, 31
February 4, 5, 10, 21
July 1, 9, 14, 15, 16, 18, 21, 22, 23, 27, 29, 30

Flying Blue also offers travel on Virgin Atlantic with lower fuel surcharges than if you book directly with Virgin.
Flying Blue is also offering free changes and cancellations for flights through at least 3/31/22 due to COVID-19. Cancellations or changes normally cost 50 Euros.
You can transfer AMEX, Capital One, Chase, or Citi points instantly to Flying Blue.
Flying Blue miles require earning activity every 24 months to keep them active, so transferring miles will also extend their validity.
As always, don’t transfer points unless you are ready to book a trip!

Is there any benefit to this on domestic flights?
For non working it’s great
20-23 hours each way with bad stop over
Most want to fly direct
Especially covid times
So no benefit
Did you read the post?
What is the minimum I need to transfer to extend my miles from expiration if I have FlyingBlue miles at risk of expiring on 12/31/21
No minimum.
Are there any business class seats available on the direct flights?
Mileage needed?
During COVID it was once wide open, but otherwise Delta vary rarely releases partner business award space to TLV.
You can use the Virgin Atlantic’s mileage calendar and filter for direct flights to see a calendar of Delta partner award space.
@dan FM claims TLV was moved back to Europe
Semantics. It was always 25-29K for US-TLV on Delta.
Now it’s 36K-39K.
? I’m not getting it.
When I see available Delta award space on delta.com but not showing up on air france site. Should I call in to book it or there is a reason it’s not showing on air france ?
Partner award space is not the same as direct award space.
You can use the Virgin Atlantic’s mileage calendar and filter for direct flights to see a calendar of Delta partner award space.
But sometimes you said that if it’s not visible on the partner site, and you need to call in to book. So how would I know when it’s not showing on purpose or it should be showing and need to call in ?
That’s when the partner doesn’t show any inventory for that partner or route.
How should it be booked?
When i try to pay with points, it looks like the virgin atlantic site doesn’t allow searching for partner awards. I find klm points impossible to find availability with. Just trying to use them for a domestic major route on delta. No availability. Any advice appreciated. (Use delta search engine and then call in if lowest “price”?)
If I book a ticket with flying blue with delta- Can i pay for an upgrade to delta comfrot plus through delta?
